WordPress Affiliate Plugin Summary
The WordPress Affiliate Platform is an easy to use WordPress plugin for affiliate recruitment, management and tracking that can be used on any WordPress blog or site. This plugin lets you run your own affiliate campaign/program and allows you to reward (pay commission) your affiliates for referring sales.
The admin can configure banners, links and creatives which the affiliates can use on their site to drive traffic to your site. All the clicks, leads, sales etc are tracked by this plugin.

- Significantly BOOST revenue with more sales.
We use this plugin to run our affiliate program and it has had a positive effect on our product sales.

WP Affiliate Platform Questions (F.A.Q)
Please leave a comment below if you have any questions.
@Chris, it sounds like you want to implement a “Pay Per Lead” type system where you capture the lead when a visitor lands on your site following a referral and submits a contact form. Then later when you make sales to this lead you pay commission to the affiliate who originally sent this lead your way.
If this is the kind of system you are after then this documentation will have detailed information for you:
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-affiliate/how-to-use-pay-per-lead-affiliate-model-114
Hi, may i can integrete it with classipress (wpclassipress.com) ?
Wondering, can your affiliate tracking be integrated with an offline sales process? We are planning to begin working on a site where affiliates could drive traffic to our online site where a conversion would be getting into touch with the company. After this, the company would contact the visitor and try to make the actual sale. Could your plugin be setup to allow admins to mark referrals as sales and then credit the affiliate or would it have to be done using one of the shopping carts with post payment processing?
Looking forward to your response.
Chris
Thanks for this interesting article… and it’s a great help specially to an affiliate marketer like i am who also has an online store mainly dealing with software products that would benefit most internet marketers.
Hi Shaun,
1.) The affiliates are not paid automatically. You will have to do this manually. Please see the following post on Mass payment via PayPal: https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/how-to-make-a-paypal-mass-payment-1934
2.) The plugin will calculate the amount you need to pay your affiliates. You can specify the minimum amount (e.g. $25.00) and the plugin will only pay the affiliates with $25.00+.
3.) You can choose to pay your affiliates however you want to. There is an option that you can mark the affiliate paid (e.g. If you mail them a check or make a bank transfer).
You can read more about the Affiliate Platform here: https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-affiliate/
Cheers,
Ivy
Hi, I had a question. With your affiliate product are affiliates paid automatically every specified date or do you have to do it manually? Also is there anything that makes payment of affiliates easier if you need to do it manually (Eg all calculations are made for you and you just click a button etc)?
And final question, I’m guessing all money is sent and recieved through paypal? Thanks for you time.
admin, fantastic, good news, I like it!! Thanks for the quick reply!! A seed has been planted!! :o)
@Jake, It’s compatible with WP MU but I am not sure about BuddyPress (I don’t use it). I know some of my customers use it.
Yeah a knowledgeable person can modify the scripts to customize it (it’s not encrypted)
also, can a knowledgeable person modify your scripts, are your scripts encrypted?
Are WordPress eStore + WordPress Affiliate Platform plugins compatible with WordPress MU 2.9.2 and Buddypress 1.2.3?
@John, nope, the WP Affiliate plugin does no have any DataFeed option.
Hi Brian — I am using your WP Affiliate plugin along side WP- eStore and its working great. I have noticed that many Affiliate Directorys ask about DataFeed?
Is there a DataFeed for WP-Affiliate or alternatively is there an easy way to create one for affiliates while using your plugin ??
@Ivy I see what your saying. I’ll have to try and think of a way around that problem. Thankyou admin and Ivy for the helpful information.
Hi Brian, You can setup as many membership levels as you like. You can set the accessible content for each level. For example you have the membership eBook and you want this membership level to only see your eBooks page then you can set it so they only have access to this page (and any common content you may want them to view like your home page or articles).
The only problem you might run into is if the customer buys more then one product at a time. As a membership requires a unique email address for each membership created. If the customer buys multiple items then he/she won’t be able to register multiple memberships due to the unique email address requirement.
Hmm. Well I’d like to have it where once the people purchase my product, it gets emailed to them. So maybe I can put the forum sign up link in the email instead of leaving it on the forum itself.
Yea I was thinking about that bbpress thing. I have integrated bbpress into my wordpress site and I was wondering if eMember would also work into that whole mix. I’m pretty sure that would solve my whole problem. I’ll just make each product a subscription to my website (one time fee) and than ill make a page that they can access the digital file at all times.
With eMember, can I make different subscriptions for different products? For example if they purchase one product, they can only access the page that holds that file. If they purchase another product they can only access that page etc… is this possible?
@Brian, Couldn’t you add the forum creation instruction on the “Thank You” page so customers do that after the purchase? Instruct the customer that they have to create a forum user account before they can get support or something like that maybe?
Also, BBPress can be integrated with WordPress and eMember has WordPress integration so if you are creating member’s through eMember then the customers will have the same login for BBPress too (through the whole WordPress integration)? Just an idea.
This page explains how you can integrate the affiliate plugin with cForms plugin to setup a pay per lead model:
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-affiliate/how-to-use-pay-per-lead-affiliate-model-114
Please have a look and see if it will satisfy your need.
I’m currently looking for a plugin to sell a digital product. So far I like what I see with your e-store plugin. However, what I need to do is make it where when someone purchases my product, they also have to make a user name and password which will work on my forums (bbpress). It’s sort of ilke I need to combine estore with emember in the same product. I’ve read that bbpress and your emember plugin have not been integrated. Is there someway I can get around this?
hello, i am a photographer and i have a website that promotes my services.
i have a booking page (cformsII) can i still use this product and track which sites refers the customer that books my service. my purchase time is 0 to 2 weeks time.
Hi Evyta, The following article will tell you more about integrating 3rd party software:
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-affiliate/integrating-the-wp-affiliate-software-with-a-3rd-party-plugin-61
Let me know if you need anything else.
Cheers,
Ivy
Hi can i use your plugin with shopperpress
@Mike, yeah, I can give you a bit of PHP code that you can place in your code that gets execute after the “submit” button is clicked. This will award the commission to the appropriate affiliate for that lead.
Yes, when the form is submitted then the affiliate who sent the traffic should receive credit for the lead…like it were a sale. Is that possible with this plugin?
@Mike, when a lead is captured do you want to award commission to the affiliate who referred the lead?
Hi Mike, We do not have a trial product. Integration is already build in for aweber, MailChimp and InfusionSoft. Please make sure this product is what you are looking for before you purchase as we do not offer refunds based on buyers remorse. If there is a problem with the plugins we personally support each and every copy we sell.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
Cheers,
Ivy
Hi,
I have this form (see link) where people submit info. Can I make it so the lead is created after they click the submit button?
http://bloginterviewer.com/submit-an-interview
Ivy,
I want to buy it and try it out. If it doesn’t integrate can I delete it and get a refund?
Mike
Hi Mike,
1.) This feature is not available with our affiliate platform.
2.) We have added a feature where you can pay the affiliate commission in $ or %.
3.) You can integrate with Aweber via the eStore plugin.
4.) You do not need the eStore to use the affiliate platform but you will not be able to use all the features. (e.g. per product specified commission, aweber, and so on). We have designed all our plugins to work together so there are a few more features available when they are used this way.
Let me know if you have anymore questions.
Cheers,
Ivy
Also, is there a way to integrate it with Aweber?
I have an affiliate idea where people would get paid a basic commission to refer bloggers to complete interviews on my website.
1. Could I make it so leads are only generated if interview comes from the USA (geotracking)?
2. I’ve looked over the comments and seen that it’s a percentage payment. Can it be made into just a base cash commission payment instead?
I’m going to click to notify me of follow-up comments so please answer this question as I am seriously interested in purchasing this software.
Best,
Mike
Hi Leandrew, This will have to be a feature that eCommerce offers. This has to be done in whatever plugin handles the payment. You will have to ask eCommerce how to do this or if they offer this feature. Since we have created eStore, Affiliate, and eMember they are all pre integrated so this is a standard feature. When using 3rd party plugins we have no control over what features they offer.
Let me know how it goes.
Cheers,
Ivy
Hi Ronen, Yes you can do real products with the eStore also. The shipping address is pulled for the buyers Paypal account. This is sent to you in the Paypal receipt. The only thing is there is only simple shipping option with the eStore. You can view the shipping options here: https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/how-the-shipping-cost-calculation-works-in-wordpress-estore-50
This post will explain more about how the shipping address works: https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/how-shipping-address-is-collected-from-the-customer-228
Cheers,
Ivy
Hi Ivy, thank you, but I am using WP Ecommerce and I cannot find that option in its settings. How do i go about allowing affiiate ID entry?
Hi Ivy,
Thnank you for the quick reply, so just to be sure, I can use the estore to sell non digital products as well ? does the order form contains shipping address ?
Hi Boris, The Affiliate Platform will only work with WordPress pages and sites. With that said this is not doable since the page you would want the affiliate platform to access is a non WordPress site.
Cheers,
Ivy
Hi Ronen, The discount is applied before it is sent to Paypal. You can use this with your real items also not just digital products. The only things is the item can not be discounted to 0 and Paypal does not allow 0 value items to be processed.
Cheers,
Ivy
Regarding giving a customer the option to enter an affiliate ID so he can get a discount, I understand it is possible with the eStore , but how can I use it if I sell a non digital product ? can it be used with paypal payment in any way ?
Thank you
Is it possible to have the affiliate centre on a separate site without WordPress installed? The plugin would still be installed on the site which actually sells products, and is WP based.
Hi, When the affiliate signs up they get and affiliate id. In the eStore there are the following 2 options you can select under addon settings.
Allow Affiliate ID Entry
When checked the plugin will give the customer an option to enter an “Affiliate ID” in the shopping cart to give reward to an affiliate
Link Affiliate ID with Coupons Table
When checked the customer entering an “Affiliate ID” in the shopping cart will also be able to receive a discount if there is a coupon code in the coupons table that matches with the Affiliate ID. Useful when trying to promote a special deal with an affiliate
I believe this is what you are looking for. Let me know if your eStore does not have this option and I will send you an update.
Cheers,
Ivy
Hi, was just wondering if its possible to give affiliates Codes instead of the links or banners.
We are more interested in this setup because it would allow affiliates to simply give their code to customers over the phone or put their code on business cards.
Setting this up would be a godsend, please help : )
Yeah you can award the commission from your custom script as long as you can update the database value from it or be able to call a PHP function from it. You will need the affiliate ID to be able to award a commission to an affiliate… as long as your script can read the cookie you should be fine otherwise you will somehow have to pass the cookie value to your script (kind of like what the custom field of PayPal does).
Affiliate payout is made through PayPal mass payment (the plugin creates a mass pay file for you). The link should explain more on PayPal mass payment:
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/how-to-make-a-paypal-mass-payment-1934
I have a website where the front end is a WP blog and the backend membership site is custom written in Coldfusion. I would like to attach my affiliates to a visitor when they subscribe to receive my mailing list through the blog and then give them credit when they join my membership site or order individual modules from the site.
I will be handling the payment processing within my custom program is there a way I can give the affiliate credit from my script?
Also, how does your program handle payments to affiliates? Can it pay them through PayPal?
Thanks
Hi Frank, This should be doable. You will need to place a small amount of PHP code on the payment confirmation page to award the affiliate commission. I will email you with this code and instructions.
Cheers,
Ivy
How to use WP Affiliate platform with Pie-Register WordPress plugin?
This plugin use Paypal payment gateway for registration with my Paypal hosted button ID and Paypal PDT Token.
Can you help
Thanks
This should change all the emails WordPress sends out including the ones to you.
Cheers,
Ivy
That’s exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.
Will this modify the sender name & address only for the Affiliate plugin / all 3 of your plugins or for every email that WordPress and other plugins send out?
Cheers
Danny
Hi Danny, The following post and plugin should help you change the sender email address:
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-plugin-change-wp-email-from-details-1883
Let me know if this is not what you are looking for.
Cheers,
Ivy
Just started to test the Affiliate Plugin and am wondering how to change the From name when the plugin sends a confirmation to new affiliate.
I have managed to change the sender address to [email protected] however the From name reads WORDPRESS.
Thanks in advance.
Great plugins
It depends on what you mean by “when a person joins your site”. If you are talking about becoming a member using a membership plugin (e.g WP eMember) then eMember the first part of this functionality already (it automatically creates an affiliate account with the same login credentials). Adding in the other part of the functionality whereby the member will automatically be logged into the affiliate system so they don’t have to login for that again is not hard.
In case you are doing custom development, I can provide with the functions that you need to call from your script to make this happen.
Hi, can we set this so that when a person joins my site they are automatically added as an affiliate and can use the same log-in information? Also can you set it so once they are logged into the site, they can access the affiliate area WITHOUT having to log in again? This way the affiliate center is FULLY integrated into WordPress and my site without appearing to be a standalone and separate add-on. If you had some check boxes in the plugin that could do this and people could choose this level of integration, it would add tremendous value to your plugin and you would sell a lot more of it. I would be the first to purchase if this were an option. How soon could you add something like this in?
